Mr. Hubschman began his career in 1977 installing structural commercial and residential concrete structures. Expanding from this early venture, Mr. Hubschman formed General Building Corporation and expanded into single and multi family homes throughout Collier County. Eventually, the company added custom cabinetry and countertops, commercial and residential pools, roof truss production, precast concrete, and more.

General Building Corporation built my Coach Home and pool years ago in Central Naples. I later developed an issue with mobility and had difficulty using my shower. I mentioned this to the builder, Sidney Hubschman, and asked if had any idea of the cost of hiring someone to remodel my shower. Mr. Hubschman asked if he could have access to my home for one day. the next day when I returned home, my bathroom was remodeled and finished at no cost.

General Building Corporation constructed an over 10,000 square foot commercial pool as the centerpiece of the neighborhood I reside in. The freeform pool was beautiful with natural stone fountains and lush tropical landscaping. About two weeks after opening for use, it was discovered that the 21,000 square foot deck became extremely slippery when wet: a major issue for a pool deck. Mr. Hubschman came out immediately and inspected the surface with the subcontractor. The subcontractor argued the surface was acceptable. Mr. Hubschman poured water on the deck, waited a few minutes, and proceeded to slip as soon as he stepped onto the deck. In five minutes, the subcontractor was released, and the deck was ordered resurfaced with a nonskid material by General Building Corporation employees.

After Hurricane Ian, my Park Shore home suffered significant water damage. I contracted with General Building Corporation to rebuild. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I had lived in my home for many years and wanted to save and restore as much as possible. Prior to starting work, Mr. Hubschman insisted on inspecting the electric, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems: several items had water damage and were repaired.
Mr. Hubschman then worked with me to rebuild the kitchen and baths, as well as the trim and custom wall finishes throughout my home.
