About General Building Corporation
General Building Corporation was originally formed over 40 years ago as a structural concrete company. After successfully developing and building two residential projects in Collier County, GBC expanded into three large scale residential lifestyle communities totaling over two thousand homes. The company constructed all of the residences, South Florida's Largest Swimming Pool, and over thirty-five signature Fountains. In addition to constructing the homes, General building Corporation also custom fabricated and, built the Cabinetry, Trusses, Counter Tops, and Precast Structural Concrete for all residences.

General Building Corporation next designed, constructed and operated a two million square foot limestone processing plant in southern Lee County. The plant processed all the material mined on a 1,200-acre site in accordance with standards required by the state highway department and multiple private concrete companies. The mine was eventually sold, and General Building Corporation has returned to its residential homebuilding roots.

General Building Corporation planned and obtained the zoning rights and permitting for a large mixed use (residential and commercial), which was recently sold to a large regional builder. The company also recently completed a project of twenty Beach inspired homes near downtown Naples.

This year General Building Corporation is opening a showroom in the prestigious Naples Design District to conveniently serve its clientele. Please come visit us at 1051 Fifth Avenue North. We anticipate opening the showroom in mid to late February.

Our Process
Our Process begins with you and your wants, needs, and desires: The process from inception to completion is designed around your complete satisfaction.
Sidney Hubschman of General Building Corporation will meet with you to listen to what you would like to ultimately achieve, and the steps needed to make your ideas a reality. Your ideas are the inspiration, and General Building Corporation will supply the expertise to make it happen.
Preconstruction Design
We can work with your existing plans and Architect/Designer, or we can start from scratch and design your project from the ground up. General Building Corp has in house designers and partners with architects and engineers as necessary.
Design & Construction Estimate
Once the design and major selections are finalized, General Building Corp will present to you an estimate for the total cost of the project as designed. As your project takes shape, additions and modifications can be added as desired. An estimated timeline and milestone-based consultation schedule will also accompany the cost estimate.
On-Site Consultations
An initial preconstruction meeting will take place prior to commencement of construction and mobilization. As construction proceeds, onsite consultations will take place according to the mile-stone based schedule. Additional consultations can always be called as needed.
The Finishing
Touches
As the project nears completion, a final onsite inspection will be conducted by both parties to assure that both the owner's and General Building Corp's standards have been achieved. Once the project is complete, the customer will still have the opportunity to create a "punch list" of any items that were not observed during the final onsite inspection. This process is designed to attain the REAL finishing touch: The Owners Complete Satisfaction.
